Base
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 🧅 1 large onion, chopped
- 🧄 3 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 🥦 2 (10 ounce) packages chopped frozen broccoli, thawed
- 4 cups chicken broth
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Heat oil in a large saucepan. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until tender.

Add broccoli and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.

Purée mixture with an immersion blender or in a countertop blender until smooth. Reheat if necessary, season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper, and serve.
