- 700g thinly sliced pork belly
- 1/2 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
- đź§… 1 large onion, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- A pinch of black pepper
Seasoning Sauce
- 3 tbsp red pepper powder
- 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- đź§„ 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp plum extract
- 2 tbsp cooking wine
STEPS
Prepare 700g of thinly sliced pork belly.
Slice the green onion thinly and chop the onion into large pieces.
Mix 3 tbsp red pepper powder, 2 tbsp gochujang, 5 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp plum extract, and 2 tbsp cooking wine to make the seasoning sauce.
Heat a pan over high heat and cook the pork belly slices.
Add 1 tbsp sugar to the pork while cooking to enhance flavor.
Drain excess water and oil released from the pork during cooking.
Add the vegetables and seasoning sauce to the pan and stir-fry together.
Once the sauce is well combined with the pork, add 2 tbsp corn syrup and 1 tbsp sesame seeds, then stir quickly.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle black pepper generously, then drizzle 2 tbsp sesame oil to finish.
Serve the spicy and sweet pork stir-fry on a plate.
