Wash hands with soap and water.

Wash vegetables.

Remove broccoli flowers from stems, cut them into small florets, and put them in a mixing bowl.

Peel carrots and cut off their ends. Grate carrots, and put them into a mixing bowl.

Slice zucchini into thin slices, then cut each slice into quarters, and put them into a bowl.

Grate the cheddar cheese and set aside.
