INGREDIENTS
Filling
- ๐ฅ 4 large egg whites
- ๐ 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- ๐ฑ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ๐ฐ 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ๐ฑ 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- ๐ฌ 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- ๐ 1/2 teaspoon orange peel
- ๐ฅ 1/2 cup fat-free (skim) milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted margarine, melted
- ๐ง 1 pinch salt
- ๐ 2 cups canned sweet potatoes, mashed
- 1 unbaked pie crust, 9-inch
STEPS
Wash hands with soap and water.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat egg whites well.
Add orange juice, spices, brown sugar, orange peel, skim milk, margarine, and salt.
Add mashed sweet potatoes and mix thoroughly.
Pour into pie shell and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until firm.
