INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 1 pack bean sprouts
- 1 stalk green onion
- 🧅 1/2 onion, sliced
Protein
- 1 pack Vienna sausage
Seasonings
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
STEPS
Wash the bean sprouts thoroughly and drain them in a colander.
Slice the onion thinly, cut the green onion diagonally, and slice the Vienna sausages. Optionally, blanch the sausages in hot water for a healthier option.
Heat a pan with a little cooking oil and stir-fry the sausages until partially cooked. Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.
Once the water boils, add the green onion, onion, and bean sprouts. Mix in all the seasonings except sesame oil.
Cover the pan and let it boil vigorously. Don't worry if the water seems insufficient; the vegetables will release moisture.
When the bean sprouts soften and the broth thickens, mix 1 tbsp of starch with 2 tbsp of water to create a slurry. Gradually add the slurry to the pan to thicken the sauce.
Once the sauce thickens, stir in 1 tbsp of sesame oil and mix well. Serve hot.
