INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🥔 1/2 radish, peeled and julienned
- đź§… A small amount of chopped green onion
Protein
- 1 pack of soft tofu
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sesame oil or perilla oil
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 2–3 tbsp perilla seed powder
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- đź§‚ 1 tbsp salt for radish preparation
- đź§‚ Salt to taste for final seasoning
STEPS
Peel the radish and julienne it slightly thicker than usual. Mix with 1 tbsp salt and let it sit for 10 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water.
Cut the soft tofu into bite-sized pieces and chop the green onion finely.
Heat sesame oil or perilla oil in a pan and stir-fry the prepared radish for 1–2 minutes. Add water or stock until the radish is submerged and bring to a boil.
Add the tofu and green onion to the boiling soup. Season with minced garlic and fish sauce. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Add perilla seed powder to taste and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning with salt if needed.
