INGREDIENTS
Base
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Flavorings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 5 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Cholula)
STEPS

Combine tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, sesame oil, and hot sauce in a food processor or blender.

Add garbanzo beans and blend until very smooth.

Add cold water and blend for 3 minutes more to reach desired consistency.

Transfer hummus to a container and chill in the refrigerator before serving.
