INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 2 ÂĽ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ tablespoons ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Âľ tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ tablespoon ground cloves
- ÂĽ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- â…“ cup vegetable oil
- ÂĽ cup molasses
STEPS
Gather all ingredients. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a cookie sheet.
Combine sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, and molasses in a large bowl.
Mix flours, ground ginger, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg in a separate bowl. Slowly add to wet mixture until dough forms.
Divide dough into two halves. Shape each into a roll the length of the cookie sheet, patting down to ½-inch thickness. Place rolls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake rolls in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Once cooled, slice diagonally into ½-inch thick biscotti pieces.
Place sliced biscotti back onto cookie sheet and bake until crispy, approximately 5 to 7 minutes per side.
