INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 🧂 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (Optional)
Wet Ingredients
- 🧈 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- 🥚 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Mix-ins
- 🍫 1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon on a sheet of parchment paper and set aside.
Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
