INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 🧂 1 pinch salt
Wet Ingredients
- 🧈 ¼ cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 🥚 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
Mix-ins
- 1 cup raisins
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan, preferably glass.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Stir the dry mixture into the sour cream mixture until just blended. Fold in raisins.
Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the crown comes out clean.
