INGREDIENTS
Stuffing
- 2 cups dry stuffing mix
- 💧 1 cup boiling water
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter
Meat
- 1 ½ pounds flank steak, pounded thin
Vegetables
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
Sauce
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can mushroom gravy
- 🍷 ¼ cup red wine
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, minced
- 🧀 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine dry stuffing mix, boiling water, and butter in a medium bowl. Mix well and let stand for 5 minutes.
Spoon stuffing onto steak, leaving a 1-inch border. Scatter the chopped green onions and red bell pepper on top.
Roll up the steak from the long edge and secure it with wooden toothpicks. Place the steak seam-side down in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Mix gravy, red wine, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the rolled steak in the baking dish.
Roast the steak in the preheated oven until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness, about 1 hour.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve slices with the sauce from the dish.
