INGREDIENTS
Crust
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
- ⅓ cup ground pecans
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Filling
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 🎃 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground mace
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 🥛 1 cup light cream
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Mix ground pecans, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and butter in a small bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
Bake the crust in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove it from the oven and reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C).
In a large bowl, mix eggs, pumpkin puree, 2/3 cup brown sugar, flour, cloves, mace, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and cream until smooth and creamy.
Pour the filling into the partially baked crust.
Bake the pie in the preheated 325°F (165°C) oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the filling is set.
