INGREDIENTS
- 1 (20-ounce) bag frozen waffle fries
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 🧅 1 small yellow onion
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 🥩 1 pound ground beef
- 🧀 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 🧀 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup chopped pickles
- 🍅 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons ketchup (for garnish)
STEPS
Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop.
Preheat an air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook waffle fries for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through. Alternatively, bake as directed on package.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions for 2-3 minutes, then add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Add ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and crumbly, 5-7 minutes. Drain and stir in ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Spread cooked beef mixture in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top, layer crispy waffle fries, and add mozzarella cheese and chopped bacon.
Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through, about 5 minutes.
Top with pickles, diced tomatoes, and additional ketchup and mustard for serving. Serve immediately.
