INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 1 lb smoked sausage
- 🥓 1 lb thick cut bacon, cut in half
Cheese / Dairy
- 🧀 1 1/2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
Spices & Seasonings
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Vegetables
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
- 24 thin slices of jalapeno
Sauces & Sweeteners
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 🍯 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Cajun seasoning, sour cream, and 1 seeded and chopped jalapeno in a bowl. Mix well and pipe the mixture into a ziplock bag.
Snip the corner of the bag and pipe about 2 teaspoons of cheese mixture onto each piece of sausage. Wrap each sausage slice with bacon and place them in mini muffin pan cups. Top each with a slice of jalapeno.
Mix BBQ sauce, honey, and brown sugar until combined. Brush over the pig shots.
Bake until bacon crisps, approximately 45 minutes.
Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
