INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 🌾 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 🧂 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Wet Ingredients
- 🧈 1/2 cup butter, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 🍯 2 tablespoons honey
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter using a pastry blender or forks until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Combine honey and buttermilk in a cup. Pour into the flour mixture and stir until dough forms.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and press into a 1/2-inch thick rectangle. Fold into thirds, rotate 90°, and repeat process 3 times. Press final dough to 1-inch thickness.
Using a 2-inch round cookie cutter, cut biscuits and place on baking sheet, 1 inch apart. Recombine scraps and repeat until all dough is used.
Bake in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes until biscuits turn golden. Cool on a rack for a few minutes before serving.
