INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 🍫 ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 💊 ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 🌾 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil, divided
- 💧 ½ cup boiling water
- 🍚 2 cups white sugar
- 🥚 2 large eggs
- 🌸 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan.
Combine cocoa and baking soda in a large bowl.
Mix in boiling water and 1/3 cup vegetable oil until well blended and thickened.
Stir in sugar, the remaining 1/3 cup vegetable oil, and eggs.
Blend in flour, vanilla extract, and salt until just combined.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool completely before cutting into 24 bars.
