When you are ready to make your pie, remove dough from the refrigerator and roll out each piece from the middle to the edge. Bake according to the pie recipe directions.

💡 Make sure all ingredients, especially the butter, shortening, and liquids, are cold to ensure a flaky crust.Do not overwork the dough as it may become tough instead of light and flaky. You can freeze the dough disks to use later; just thaw in the fridge before rolling out.For a sweetened crust, add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar to the flour and salt mixture.
