- 🥔 9 large potatoes, peeled
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 (6 ounce) package cream cheese
- 🧂 1 teaspoon onion salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 dash ground black pepper
- 🧀 ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 pinch dried parsley flakes, or to taste
- 1 pinch paprika, or to taste
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
Peel and place potatoes into a large pot; cover with salted water and bring to a boil. Simmer until tender, about 20 minutes, then drain the potatoes.
Mash potatoes with sour cream, cream cheese, onion salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until creamy. Add reserved boiling water a tablespoon at a time if needed for consistency.
Transfer mashed potatoes into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese, dried parsley, and paprika on top.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
