INGREDIENTS
Wet Ingredients
- 🧂 1 cup white sugar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup margarine
- ¾ cup egg substitute
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ⅛ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Mix-ins
- 🍫 1 (5 ounce) milk chocolate candy bar, chopped
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat sugar, olive oil, and margarine until smooth. Stir in egg substitute and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, and baking powder, gradually stir into wet ingredients. Mix in chopped candy bar. Chill dough for 10 minutes.
Divide dough into two equal pieces. Roll each into a 9-inch log. Place logs on cookie sheet 4 inches apart, flatten to 1.5-inch thickness.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until firm. Cool until handleable.
Cut each loaf into 1/2-inch slices. Toast slices cut-side down for 8 to 10 minutes on each side.
Cool on wire racks and store in an airtight container.
