INGREDIENTS
Base
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 2 (1-pound) pizza dough
Flavoring
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 🧂 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Topping
- 7 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 🥛 1 tablespoon whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
STEPS
Evenly coat a 13- x 9-inch baking pan with 1/4 cup of the canola oil.
On a lightly floured surface, press dough balls into about 1-inch thickness, sprinkle one dough round with sugar mixture, stack the other on top, and knead together.
Place dough in the prepared pan, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 3 hours, pressing out every hour.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Uncover dough, spread evenly into pan, make dimples, drizzle oil, and repeat dimpling.
Bake until slightly risen and lightly browned, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Melt butter in a saucepan, mix with brown sugar and cinnamon, and drizzle over dough. Bake again until well browned and puffed, 8 to 10 minutes.
Prepare cream cheese frosting by blending cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
Drizzle frosting over hot bread and serve warm.
