Quick and Easy Tomato Basil Gnocchi

spaghetti sauce0.75 cup
Parmesan cheese0.25 cup

STEPS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil over medium high heat. Drop in gnocchi, and cook until gnocchi float to the top, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Adding salt to the water enhances the flavor of the gnocchi and helps prevent sticking.π
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, and sautΓ© minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in Italian seasoning and cooked gnocchi. Pour in spaghetti sauce and cook until sauce is warmed through, about 5 minutes.
Keep a close eye on the garlic to prevent it from burning, which can make it bitter.π
Add gnocchi to two bowls. Garnish with freshly shredded Parmesan cheese and fresh basil strips.
