Use the food state that matches your measurement

A cooked food can have a very different value per 100 g even when no calories have vanished or appeared.

  1. 01Rice and pasta absorb water, so 100 g dry and 100 g cooked are not interchangeable.
  2. 02Meat and vegetables can lose water during cooking, concentrating nutrients per 100 g.
  3. 03Oil absorbed during frying or roasting must be counted separately when it is not included in the food entry.

Watch for hidden cooking calories

A dish's calories often come from cooking oil, salad dressing, peanut butter, tahini, sugar, and other additions that are easy to overlook.

Paste a link to cooking content from social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or X, or a recipe link from websites such as Cookpad or Allrecipes. You can also upload a clear recipe photo or paste the recipe as text.

CookGo identifies ingredients and amounts from your source, then estimates calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Results are not exact: brands, preparation, substitutions, and vague amounts can change the actual nutrition.

CookGo labels the scope when the analysis identifies it. If the scope is not reliable, the page shows an estimate for the recipe and does not silently divide the result.

Use the food state that matches your measurement. Dry and cooked rice or pasta are not interchangeable, and cooking oil, dressings, nut butters, tahini, sugar, and other additions should be included.

The reference table uses ANSES-CIQUAL 2025 averages per 100 g of edible portion. These reference values can vary by variety, cut, brand, and season, and are separate from the estimate generated for an imported recipe.
