INGREDIENTS
Protein
- 🍗 6 (6 ounce) boneless chicken breasts
Condiments and Seasoning
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 🍯 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 🍋 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 🧄 3 cloves garlic
- 🧅 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 🧂 2 teaspoons kosher salt
STEPS
Trim any excess fat from chicken and flatten each breast to an even thickness under plastic or parchment.
Place chicken into a resealable bag along with olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, onion powder, and ground ginger. Seal the bag and massage to coat. Marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Preheat the outdoor grill to high heat (400°F or 200°C) and brush the grill grates with oil or cooking spray.
Place chicken top side down on the grill, sprinkle evenly with salt, and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes until grill marks appear. Reduce heat to medium (350°F or 175°C), flip, and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (73°C).
Remove chicken from heat and let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
