INGREDIENTS
Marinade
- 🍺 1 cup light beer
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 pound sirloin filet steak
Fries
- 🍟 1 32-ounce bag frozen French fries
- Cooking spray
Cheese Sauce
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup half and half
- 🧀 2 cups white Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
Toppings
- 🍅 1/2 cup diced tomato
- 🧅 2 tablespoons diced red onion
- Sliced jalapenos (optional)
STEPS
Mix light beer, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, and garlic in a resealable bag. Add steak, coat with marinade, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen fries onto a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray.
Bake fries in the preheated oven until crisp, about 25 to 30 minutes.
To prepare the cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour to form a smooth paste.
Add half and half to the saucepan and stir until the mixture thickens. Add shredded white Cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
Stir garlic powder, oregano, and dill into the cheese sauce.
Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Remove steak from the marinade and grill for about 5 minutes per side for medium rare. Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing.
Arrange baked fries on a large serving platter. Pour cheese sauce over the fries, then top with sliced steak, tomatoes, red onion, and jalapenos (optional). Serve immediately.

💡 For extra crunch, consider double baking the fries by par-baking and then finishing them at a higher temperature. You can substitute the marinade with a store-bought steak seasoning mix for quicker preparation.Ensure the cheese sauce is kept warm before serving to maintain its smooth texture.
