- π 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Seasonings and Spices

- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Vegetables and Aromatics
- π§ 1 Β½ cups chopped onion
- π§ 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 Β½ teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
- π 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- π 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Liquids
- Β½ cup cooking oil
- π§ 1 tablespoon water
- π§ Β½ cup water
- π₯ 1 cup plain yogurt
LANGKAH
Gather all ingredients.
Sprinkle chicken breasts with 2 teaspoons salt. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat and partially cook the chicken until browned. Set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and cook onion, garlic, and ginger until soft and translucent, about 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in curry powder, cumin, turmeric, coriander, cayenne, and 1 tablespoon of water.
Add tomatoes, yogurt, cilantro, and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix well.
Return chicken to the skillet with its juices. Add Β½ cup water. Sprinkle garam masala and cilantro. Bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer until chicken is done, about 20 minutes. Ensure an internal temperature of 165Β°F is reached.
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve.
