Cake Base
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package moist white cake mix
- 💧 1 cup water
- 🥚 3 large egg whites
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ☕ 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
Syrup
- ☕ ¼ cup coffee
- 1 tablespoon coffee flavored liqueur
Filling
- 1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur
Frosting
- 🥛 2 cups heavy cream
- ¼ cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur
Garnish
- 🍫 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 🍫 1 (1 ounce) square semisweet chocolate

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour three 9-inch pans.
Combine white cake mix, water, egg whites, and oil in a bowl and beat for 2 minutes.
Divide 2/3 of the batter into 2 pans. Mix instant coffee into remaining batter and pour into the third pan.
Bake the cakes for 23-28 minutes, cool for 10 minutes in pans, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make the syrup by combining brewed coffee and coffee liqueur. Set aside.
Prepare mascarpone filling by beating mascarpone, confectioners' sugar, and coffee liqueur until smooth. Refrigerate.
Beat heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, and coffee liqueur for frosting. Refrigerate both frosting and filling.
Assemble the cake by layering plain cake, coffee syrup, filling, coffee-flavored cake, and repeating layers. Spread frosting on top and sides.
Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate curls.
Refrigerate the cake for at least 30 minutes before serving.
